'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 news: Kaley Cuoco shares racy BTS photo; S&M scene banned

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) got the shock of his life in the latest episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 when he walked in on Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) in a rather unconventionally intimate scenario.

In "The Veracity Elasticity," Sheldon found out that Amy (Mayim Bialik) had been lying to him about the status of her apartment because she wanted to continue their "cohabitation experimentation." While he was initially unhappy about her dishonesty, he later admitted that he also wanted to continue living together.

Later, still thinking about the question of where he and Amy should live, Sheldon found himself missing his old room and headed across the hall to see it. Inside, he was stunned to see that Penny and Leonard had turned the room into a sex dungeon. There, he found a leather-clad Leonard chained as Penny, who was dressed in a skimpy dominatrix costume, whipped her husband.

Fortunately, it was all a dream.

On Friday, Nov. 4, Kuoco took to Instagram to post a behind-the-scenes photo of herself and Galecki in the racy outfits they wore in the controversial scene.

In the photo, Cuoco wore a cleavage-revealing corset that she said "took 15 minutes to get on," fishnet stockings, spiked cuffs and a restraining collar. Meanwhile, Galecki wore crotchless pants (with a pouch to conceal his privates), a restraining collar and leather lattice-work suspenders. Both were holding whips or flogs of some kind.

According to News.com.au, the S&M scene from "The Veracity Elasticity" was dubbed "too hot" by some networks and advertisers in the U.K., who banned the scene from airing on U.K. screens. The episode aired on Thursday, Nov. 3, in the U.S.

While Cuoco and Galecki's characters tied the knot during the "Big Bang Theory" season 10 premiere, the actors dated for two years and broke up way back in 2010. Since then, the two have reportedly remained close friends.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
