'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers: Sheldon and Amy are slowly getting settled in
"The Big Bang Theory" is taking a little winter break right now, but once it returns, fans should keep an eye out and they will notice that something has been developing since Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) moved in together.
Showrunner Steve Molaro has revealed to TVLine that the couple has been slowly making Penny's apartment their own. "If you look carefully, some of Sheldon's things are quietly migrating from [his and Leonard's old apartment] into what was Penny's apartment," he said.
Molaro also added that he didn't really like the idea of conducting a "wholesale revamp" of one of the three iconic sets in the show. The other two sets that have been featured since the first season were the staircase leading to apartments 4A and 4B, and apartment 4A itself. Sheldon's old apartment with Leonard has the primary set for the show since the start. "Those three sets are baked into the DNA of the show, so I'd like to not make drastic changes there," Molaro stated.
Unfortunately, changes are bound to happen for Sheldon and Amy as they continue to take steps forward in their relationship. Very slow steps forward in Sheldon's case. Anyone who thinks sex with his partner is an annual event definitely has a lot to learn about romantic relationships.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 episode 12 will air on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
In other news, TVLine has reported that CBS has begun casting for "The Big Bang Theory" spinoff focusing on a young Sheldon. The series is going to be titled "Sheldon," and the people behind the show is looking for an 8-to-11-year-old actor who can play the "socially awkward, once-in-a-generation genius" who lives in East Texas with his mom. The character is described as "short-tempered," "confident," fiercely ritualistic" and "arrogant." That definitely sounds like Sheldon.
Parsons is going to be producing the show with Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro.
