'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers: Will Sheldon propose to Amy soon?

Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) have come a long way in their relationship, and just like any ordinary couple, the next step for them is to get engaged and begin planning for a wedding. Will Sheldon propose to Amy soon?

This season explored a new milestone in Sheldon and Amy's relationship when Amy had to move in with her boyfriend after her apartment got flooded. They began living together in Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) apartment until Amy's flat was fixed. Executive producer Steve Molaro previously said that the couple's new living arrangement gave them an opportunity to explore "boatload of fun stories," so they're in no rush to make them enter another relationship milestone and get engaged.

If Sheldon decides to finally pop the question, he doesn't need to go shopping for an engagement ring anymore because he already has one tucked away in a drawer. However, it seems that the writers of the hit sitcom are in no hurry to make Sheldon propose to his girlfriend.

Molaro recently caught up with Entertainment Weekly, and he was asked if they are already inching towards Amy and Sheldon's engagement. "We always are," the EP said. "Right now, there is such a new world of living together and what that means, and working that out. That's offered a boatload of fun stories, so I don't think we're in a rush for an engagement. Everyone knows that ring is floating around. Who knows when? I'm excited to find out," he went on to say.

The series is currently on a winter break, and it will return next year with a new episode titled "The Holiday Summation." On the upcoming winter premiere, the gang gets together to eat dinner just like the old times as they share stories of their horrible holiday experiences.
