'The Blacklist' season 4 spoilers, plot news: With Tom barely around, will Liz find a new love?

"The Blacklist" season 4 storyline theories being generated online are getting more and more interesting by the minute since the shocking revelations in the third season. One of the most recent speculations is that Liz Keen (Megan Boone) will find a new love amid the troubles and complications in her marriage with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) and despite having a baby.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, there might not be a happily-ever-after for the couple — an assumption derived from "The Blacklist" co-executive producer John Eisendrath's interview with The Entertainment Weekly wherein he teased about the show depicting a realistic relationship between a married couple. He talked about keeping the couple's story real in such a way that the audiences can relate to their struggles and the complexities involved in marriage and having a child which might pull the two parties away from each other.

In addition, there is the upcoming "The Blacklist" spinoff titled "The Blacklist: Redemption" that will mainly feature Tom as he chooses to go undercover to work as a spy for Susan "Scottie" Hargrave (Famke Janssen), his supposed biological mother.

Given this turn of events, Eggold's character will hardly be present in the original "The Blacklist" and given the nature of the character's newfound job, he will be left with no other option but to be constantly separated from his wife and their newborn Agnes.

These sporadic appearances in "The Blacklist" are assured by Eggold himself who, during an interview with the Today show, said that the producers of the show are finding a way for his character to drop by although perhaps infrequently in the original installment of the show. After all, there is still the reality of his having a family which he has to continuously face and deal with despite the demands and dangers of his future work with Scottie.

With Tom not being always readily available for his wife and his daughter, there might be a variety of new story arcs concerning Liz to be explored, not excluding the possibilities of a new object of affection.
