'The Blacklist' updates: Tom Keen to appear again in season 4 as it nods toward the spinoff show "Redemption"
Fans need not worry about Tom Keen leaving and staying out of Liz Keen's and their daughter Agnes' lives. It turns out he will not despite his impending spy work with Susan "Scottie" Hargrave. Actor Ryan Eggold's character will still been seen in the original "The Blacklist" season 4 just as well as in its spinoff "The Blacklist: Redemption."
Tom Keen, who is in hiding with their baby after Liz's disappearance as Alexander Kirk abducted her, will still be dropping by his family's life in the original series, "The Blacklist." After all, he also has too much to recount from his side of the tale.
Eggold said in his interview with Today that people behind the show are figuring out a way for his character to go back and forth between the original and the spinoff series, in turn, focusing on the spinoff while keeping Tom Keen's involvement in the original show.
The eight-episode first season of "The Blacklist: Redemption" will not commence until later in 2017, which means Tom Keen will certainly appear in "The Blacklist" season 4 premiere. Eggold even told TV Line that he was informed that his character will be seen in several of the beginning episodes in season 4.
As a couple, Liz and Tom have their shared responsibility for their newborn daughter. On the other hand, while Liz met her supposed biological father in the last season which shook her world and toppled her previous knowledge of her identity, Tom will have his share of family situation to have to manage and handle — upfront news that Scottie is in fact his mother. As the crime thriller takes off and gradually progresses, Tom Keen's profile will be better understood as his past will bit by bit be revealed.
Both "The Blacklist" season 4 and its spinoff premiere dates have yet to be announced by NBC.
