'The Bold and the Beautiful' Spoilers, Plot Recap: Maya Born a Boy Named Myron?
The major reveal last week on "'The Bold and the Beautiful" was that Maya (Karla Mosley) was actually a man who had underwent gender reassignment surgery in the past to become a woman.
This week when the show returned at its weekday slot of 1:30 p.m. on CBS, it focused more on what had happened in Maya's past and how it had affected the relationship with her sister Nicole (Reign Edwards).
The episode that aired Monday included more of Maya's explanation to Nicole about why she left home early. Nicole then told Maya that she had a copy of her real birth certificate, and it showed that she was born a boy and was named Myron. Maya then countered that she had another altered version.
Maya and Nicole argued on the fact that she had hid her true identity from Rick (Jacob Young). Nichole accused Maya of being dishonest, but Maya denied it, saying she had never told Rick a lie.
As for the coming weeks, the major answer that fans are dying for is how Maya managed to have a child if she was indeed a man. This is something the show will have to explain. There are hints that the baby that Maya gave up for adoption and subsequently died was actually fathered by Myron.
Elsewhere in the story, Rick will examine his plans for marrying Maya this week and will think about the possibilities of them having children. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Bill (Don Diamont), meanwhile, will strengthen their alliance against Rick. Maya will aggravate this problem by revealing something big to him. Deacon (Sean Kanan) who was helping Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) combat alcoholism earlier this week is going to continue on that track and end up getting tempted by what she has to offer.
Brooke is also destined to confide in Katie (Heather Tom) about her feelings for Deacon. Sometime during the later part of the week, Maya will change how she perceives Nicole.
