'The Division' 'Survival' DLC PS4 launch: now available for platform; 'Last Stand' DLC expected in early January
PlayStation 4 (PS4) players can now enjoy more of "The Division" as the new downloadable content (DLC) for their platform has already been out. The Survival DLC has been out initially for Xbox One and PC due to a certain agreement with Microsoft. The new DLC has player-versus-player (PvP) and player-versus-environment (PvE) options for the players.
Now, all players of the most recent consoles, and PC of course, can enjoy "The Division" even more. The Survival DLC allows 24 players to work together as they battle against various enemies, Hunters and other hindrances as they journey to the center of the map.
The DLC takes the players to a helicopter crash site, where they see themselves with no skills, no first aid kits and even clothing for survival. As the title implies, players would have to find ways to survive in a location with harsh winter storms that would constantly threaten their existence. As such, they must find a way to get some heat, shelter and other ways to stay alive.
"You'll have to scavenge for food, weapons, water, drugs and clothes, all the while trying to finish your assigned mission — find the rumored antivirals to the Green Poison virus deep in the Dark Zone and extract them," the description of Survival reads on the game's official website.
In the PvE setting, players will face several nonplayable characters (NPCs) in the map while in the PvP mode, they would have to contend with other players.
The best way to stay alive in the Survival DLC is to score higher. However, players will have to defeat enemies and find resources to protect themselves, aside from completing the milestones.
"The Division" will also roll out another update in early 2017 titled "Last Stand," which is also part of the title's season pass. PS4 players will have to wait another month before they can play the DLC, unfortunately.
