Ubisoft officially announced that the "Survival" downloadable content (DLC) expansion for "The Division" is already available for Xbox One and PC starting yesterday, Nov. 22. PlayStation 4 (PS4) users will have to wait until Dec. 20 to enjoy the new DLC, or what is known as the Survival game mode.

The new Survival game mode allows groups of up to 24 players, fighting to survive against outside forces and against each other. The fight takes place in a modified version of "The Division's" Manhattan district.

In a blog post, Ubisoft's description of the new content states, "Cold, sick, hungry, stripped of gear, and beset by a brutal snowstorm, you must survive until extracting safely in the Dark Zone. Finding supplies, warm clothes and survival equipment will be vital to your success. However, the environment is not the only danger; other agents and deadly Hunters will prove the biggest challenges to your survival."

Along with the new DLC is also a patch update known as update 1.5. It is also available on Xbox One and PCs, but PS4 users have to wait again for a little longer as it will be released slightly later as is the custom of the game's recent DLCs.

The patch update included bug fixes as usual, for both Xbox and PC glitches. Furthermore, the new update brought changes to skill, gameplay, game rewards, weapons and gear sets.

The update added four new weapons, namely Golden Rhino, Urban MDR Assault Rifle, Tommy Gun and Thompson M1928.

Enemy Armor Damage now also functions in player-versus-player (PvP) mode, but Ubisoft noted that "damage calculation in PvP ignores a percentage of the target's armor equal to one third of the shooter's Enemy Armor Damage."

Additionally, stash size had also been increased from 70, now to a total of 150 items. Players can see the full patch notes here.
