'The Elder Scrolls 6' release date news 2016: Game not likely to come out in next 2 years

Many fans are disappointed when reports emerged all over the internet that game developer Bethesda Game Studios have yet to start the development of "The Elder Scrolls 6." According to the report, the company confirmed that they are currently focusing on making three big and crazy projects but none of them is the sixth installment of the action role-playing open world fantasy video game.

In a recent interview with Game Star, Pete Hines, The vice president of Bethesda Game Studios, said that he is not ruling out the possibility of "The Elder Scrolls 6" in the future. However, the highly anticipated title will not be coming out anytime soon.

"Just so you know, not at the next Gamescom and not the one after that; there are at least two big games from Bethesda Games Studios before we get around to Elder Scrolls 6," Hines said.

When the last installment of the franchise, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," came out in November 2011, it was an instant hit and sold more than 20 million copies across the globe. Fans and critics immediately started to talk about the possibility of a new title in the series. With the recent confirmation from Hines, fans may have to wait for a few more years before they can expect the release of "The Elder Scrolls 6." For the meantime, fans can enjoy the upcoming remastered version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim," also known as Skyrim Special Edition. Meanwhile, the director of "Fallout 4" and "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," Todd Howard, said that Bethesda is currently working on big projects. He previously revealed that the company is planning to develop three big and crazy projects but retracted his statement later saying that he should have never set a number, GameSpot reported.
