'The Flash' season 3 air date, plot news 2016: New promo has Barry create an alternate timeline where Cisco is a millionaire
A new promo for the third season of "The Flash" gives viewers a little taste of what to expect when the season adopts the alternate reality elements of "The Flashpoint Paradox." Though the promo is short, it shows an alternate universe where STAR Labs has become RAMON Industries, and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) is the millionaire playboy owner of the company.
Aside from the fact that Cisco has become part of the one percent, the promo also teases some sort of cult that may be going against Barry (Grant Gustin) this coming season. There are also clips of Barry with his dad, and Barry trying to find a solution to the alternate dimension which he has unwittingly created.
Aside from the adaptation of the "Flashpoint" storyline, this season of "The Flash" will also include famous Flash villain, Mirror Master. Mirror Master has the power to travel within any reflective surface, and he will be played by Grey Damon. Mirror Master will be joined by "Awkward" actress Ashley Rickards who will play The Top who powers that allow her to control of centrifugal force. The two are said to be close, and they will go up against returning Flash villain Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
Captain Cold, a.k.a. Leonard Snart, has since been fighting for the hero side in DC's "Legends of Tomorrow," but it looks like in the altered timeline, Snart will be back to his villainous ways as a member of the "Legion of Doom" along with Reverse Flash, Damien Darhk, and Malcolm Merlyn. This all sounds good for the fans as Miller has become quite the fan favorite of the show.
Going back to Mirror Master, it's said that his origins will be closely tied to Captain Cold, and the main chunk of his arc will be revolving around the fight between the two meta-humans.
The third season of "The Flash" premieres on Oct. 4, 2016.
