'The Flash' season 3 spoilers: Eddie Thawne reveals his return; Will he reprise his role?
Eddie Thawne of "The Flash" may be returning for the third season. Actor Rick Cosnett has hinted about his return in the hit series by The CW on his social media accounts.
The actor took to Facebook and Twitter to post a photo of him and his apparent comeback. There is no news of his role, but it is heavily speculated that he will return as Eddie Thawne. For those curious, Thawne played the role of Eddie, who is the fiancé of Iris, played by Candice Patton. He also is the partner of Joe, played by Jesse L. Martin.
Thawne's role did not last until the second season as his character met his demise in "The Flash" first season finale. Since then, he only appeared on the show once in episode 17 of the second season.
Fans believe that Thawne will continue his role being Eddie, but may come from a different planet. There is also a possibility that he will return as a different character.
Meanwhile, the 10th episode of "The Flash" season 3, titled as "Borrowing Problems from the Future," has been rumored to reveal the plan of Barry Allen to save Iris' future. The midseason premiere episode continues with Barry's mission as he partners with Cisco to possibly alter the future and save his beloved Iris from getting killed.
A promo video shows what the next episode will bring, including Barry's realization that he has to catch a Plunder for Iris' sake. Unfortunately, he still is not certain of it. This is where Wally enters into the picture. He decides to also fight for Iris as Kid Flash.
"The Flash" executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, once said to Entertainment Weekly, "In an upcoming episode, they learn a little bit more about the future and they now have a list of things they know will occur between now and May."
"The Flash" season 3 episode 10 is set to air today at 8:00 p.m. on CW.
