'The Last Guardian' release date news: Japanese introduction video released to showcase Trico and the boy narrator
"The Last Guardian" will arrive in December but before that, people behind the title released a video instruction that shows the scenes of the game in 9 minutes.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has just released an introduction video of "The Last Guardian," which shows different footages of the highly anticipated title, which is confirmed to come out on Dec. 6 for PlayStation 4 (PS4), Gematsu reported.
"The Last Guardian" is highly anticipated due to its long absence in the gaming world following its announcement of 2009. After seven years of waiting for its arrival, it will come to PS4 consoles soon in Japan and the United States. People in Europe will get their own copy on Dec. 7 while those residing in Ireland and the United Kingdom will be able to play the game on Dec. 9.
Directed and designed by Fumito Ueda, "The Last Guardian" said that players will be able to experience a few similarities with the previous games like "Ico" in 2011 and "Shadow of the Colossus" in 2009. The storyline of "The Last Guardian" will feature several flashbacks of a young boy, who also is the narrator, who takes on a journey with a creature named Trico, a hybrid creature of a bird and a cat.
Forbes released an article about the trailer video presented and commented on its graphics and animations. The publication noted that "The Last Guardian" is a "major relief" following its long years of development.
Well, it looks like the people behind "The Last Guardian" made sure that the long years of waiting is worth it. The only thing that is being awaited right now is how the game can gain a large number of fans once it is released, just like what "Ico" and "Shadow of the Colossus" have achieved. In fact, both titles' remastered version performed well in the market.
