'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' horse guide: How to use stables and tame horses, other wild animals
Link is on another adventure in Hyrule with "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," and managing stables, taking care of horses, and engaging with other animals is a part of the protagonist's journey.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will feature Link as he tries to regain his memories while following a mysterious voice that will guide him in facing Calamity Ganon.
During this journey, Link will be having other activities that will involve stables, horses, and other animals, and iDigitalTimes rounded up a few tips so that players can have a grasp on how to go through with these activities.
Horses and other animals won't be seen when gamers first start "Breath of the Wild." There will be a few wild horses once they have passed the first area, but the action only starts when a stable is found by the gamer.
The stables will be found in various locations around Hyrule, and each of them will provide certain services for Link, such as providing shelter and a place to rest to pass the time. Each stable will also have its own insect salesman where the players can ask about certain bugs that they are looking for.
These stables also provide side quests that can help players gain more rupees.
However, the most important function of the stable is that it is a place where a player's tamed horses are kept. These horses can be brought to and kept in the stable for 20 rupees each. The horses can be summoned whenever the players needs them.
When taming a horse, a clerk in the stable will explain how to approach a horse. Link will need a lot of stealth in taming a horse as they are to be approached from behind, and they have to be controlled right when the players manage to ride it.
Elixir and food items can be used to increase the player's stealth. Metal items should also be disposed of before approaching a horse since it will make Link's movements noisy.
Other animals can also be tamed, such as sand seals, which are found in the desert area of Gerudo. The approach will be the same as the horse, but Link will have to have his shield up when trying to tame it.
There are also certain things to note when taking care of horses and animals, such as personality and stats. Horses will have different personalities, meaning players will have different approaches in soothing the horse when it becomes uncooperative.
Meanwhile, stats are determined by speed, power, and stamina, which will all be important in different circumstances in the game, such as fighting an opponent.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" rolled out on March 3 on both the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U.
