'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' release date news update: 30th-anniversary amiibo to help players feed Link
Nintendo is still secretive about the actual release date of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" in 2017, but new details about the upcoming action-adventure game have been revealed.
A post from Nintendo Life revealed that players have the responsibility to take care of the game's main protagonist Link. According to the post, players must make sure that Link is healthy and capable of surviving in the dangerous environment by taking care of his diet and making sure that he wears decent clothing. This means that players need to look for Link's food and cook it for him to help him prepare for his upcoming challenges.
The post also revealed that the 30th-anniversary amiibo of "The Legend of Zelda" can help the players take care of Link.
According to Nintendo's official Tumblr page, the special 30th-anniversary amiibo that are currently available in the market will provide various items that will be useful for the upcoming 19th installment of "The Legend of Zelda" video game series.
The post revealed that the 8-bit Link will provide players with a random number of barrels that could also have some rupees inside. On the other hand, Ocarina of Time Link will provide players with a random number of meat, while the Toon Link amiibo will give an unspecified amount of fish. The Wind Waker Zelda will also reward players with unspecified plant items.
This means that the 30th-anniversary "The Legend of Zelda" amiibo will help in providing food for Link for the upcoming game.
Meanwhile, video gamers had a glimpse of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on national TV when host Jimmy Fallon featured the very first live demonstration of the game at "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" using Nintendo's upcoming gaming platform called the Nintendo Switch.
