'The Librarians' season 3 episode 10 spoilers: Season finale to feature Flynn's ultimate sacrifice?

The 10-episode third season of "The Librarians" is about to end, and the battle between good and evil is rightfully coming to a head when the enemies infiltrate the Library.

In the finale episode of TNT's fantasy-adventure series, Eve (Rebecca Romjin), Jenkins (John Larroquette), and the Librarians are driven to a corner by the simultaneous infiltration of the Library by the Department of Statistical Anomalies (DOSA) and the Egyptian God of Chaos, Apep. And with their safe haven threatened and seized from their grasp, how will Eve and her team hope to hold their side in the upcoming battle against Pure Evil?

A threat as big as this needs a major team effort, and everybody will be setting aside their differences in order to bring their forces together to uphold the peace at all cost. With General Rockwell (Vanessa Williams) coming in through the front doors to pack up everything that makes the Library special, Apep sees his perfect opportunity to unleash Pure Evil into the world.

How will the Librarians and their allies' skills fare against this double assault? Will Cassandra's (Lindy Booth) newly enhanced ability play a role in turning the odds to their favor?

After spending the earlier seasons worrying about what cutting off the tumor in her head might do to her abilities, Cassandra finally agreed to the operation in episode 8 and found out that the tumor may have been blocking the full potential of her skills. How will she use this revelation to aid the Librarians in taking the DOSA down?

The trailer for the next episode titled "And the Wrath of Chaos" teases another potential key character who could play a significant part in the upcoming battle. It looks like the Librarians' de facto leader, Flynn (Noah Wyle), is all set and ready to make the greatest sacrifice in order to protect the world against Apep's destructive intentions and preserve the legacy of the Library. Will Eve and the Librarians be able to stop him from what he's about to do with a much better plan that does not have to put his life at risk, or will there be no other way for Flynn?

The explosive season finale of "The Librarians" airs on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 8 p.m. EST on TNT.
