'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: Filming underway; cast list, set photos revealed

Filming for "The Originals" season 4 is reportedly underway, and some snapshots of a cast list and the filming set have surfaced. While many cast members are returning to reprise their roles, a few will be new additions to the show.

One of the assistant directors for the show, Anthony Kountz, posted on Twitter some images that indeed proved that filming for the show had begun.

Among the characters returning to the show according to Kountz's list include Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (Claire Holt), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). There's also a sixth one which remained blank but referred to a character who kept dying in the first season.

Some more interesting cast news though will definitely delight fans of the show. Ever since the last season aired its finale, viewers have been speculating on how Hayley could somehow revive the Mikaelson siblings. It's been said that she could not do it though without others' help. One possible answer was said to be her daughter, Hope, who was still a baby when "The Originals" season 3 closed.

There are reports on the ongoing search for a young girl of around six to nine years old who will play the role of little girl Hope. The auditions were supposedly held Monday, July 18, but if a selection has indeed been made, the announcement as to who it will be has not come so far.

Arising from this bit of news is the conclusion that with little girl Hope comes a possible time jump; after all, if the Mikaelson clan is to be brought back en force, Hope would have to be older to help.

Another new character emerging in "The Originals" season 4 is Keelin, a bisexual werewolf played by actress Christina Moses.

As the new season returns, Marcel will be the ruler of New Orleans. Although it was reported earlier that he is not intended to be the big bad in the upcoming season, fans find it quite hard to digest as he practically decimated (or so Marcel believes) the whole Mikaelson clan.

What will he do when he finds out that the Mikaelsons are not really dead after all? Will he stop Hayley from saving them? Or will Hayley be successful in reviving them?

All these questions may be answered come premiere of "The Originals" season 4 in early 2017.
