The CW unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming season of "The Originals," and the chilling clip previews one character's shocking return.

Almost a year since the hit supernatural drama wrapped up, fans are now getting their first look at the show's upcoming installment. The teaser picks up five years following the events of Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) trial, and it shows Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) continuously working to find a way to free the Original vampires.

While searching for cures for the Mikaelsons, Hayley gets into a conflict with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) because the family's resurrection is obviously the last thing he wants to happen. At some point in the clip, the deceased Cami (Leah Pipes) makes a surprise appearance as Klaus shouts her name. While it's most likely just a vision, fans will be happy to see the character even just for a brief moment.

With over a month left before the show's premiere, the short trailer leaves fans begging for more. Further details on season 4 are still being kept under wraps, but there are speculations on how the new storyline would play out.

Reports say that this season might see an ultimate standoff between Marcel and Klaus. Marcel isn't a Mikaelson, and considering his history with Klaus, rumor has it that he'll be struggling to stay loyal to the family. It is also believed that Hope will be playing a bigger role now that she's a bit older and can play a more active role in everyone's lives.

"The Vampire Diaries" is ending before "The Originals" kicks off, so there is a huge possibility that some characters from the original drama will crossover to the spinoff. After all, "TVD" character Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) has already been confirmed to appear before the end of season 4.

The fourth season of "The Originals" premieres on Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
