'The Originals' season 4 spoilers, plot news: Klaus' daughter is his only Hope? Salvatore brothers and Davina to stop Marcel?

"The Originals" season 3 ended with Klaus falling asleep and getting entombed after an agony-induced coma. On the other hand, his siblings who were initially presumed dead due to Marcel's bite are trapped in dreamscape after Freya cast a powerful spell that tethered their lives to Klaus, which means Klaus' fate is theirs, too.

Now when the fourth installment of "The Originals" returns, executive producer Michael Narducci promises one pandemonic ride. That is expected, considering Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be waking up a grumpy vampire after spending time in a coffin where he was supposed to spend eternity in pain, thanks to the Tunde Blade lodged in his heart.

"Season 4 is just packed with story potential...What you can definitely assume is that after a time cut, these sleeping giants are going awaken and they are not going to be happy. There's going to be a reunion of all these characters. As to what happens there, I'm going to leave it to the fans to think about and debate amongst themselves. We've got some great stuff planned," Narducci told TV Guide.

Revenge will be the only thing on Klaus' mind when he wakes up, so fans could expect him to go on a no-holds-barred quest to quench his bloodlust. Nevertheless, as Parent Herald pointed out, Cami O'Connell's (Leah Pipes) last words to Klaus could seep right through him.

Before she died, Cami told Klaus that if he forgets to hold on to his humanity, he should always turn his focus on Hope, his child with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). According to Cami, Hope should be enough to motivate Klaus to keep his sense of humanity in check.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that Damon and Stefan Salvatore (played by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley respectively) might be crossing over from Mystic Falls to New Orleans. Apparently, the time jump between season 3's ending and season 4's beginning could make this possible.

While there is no evidence to support the rumors, their entry, along with the purported return of Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell) could create a force strong enough to thwart Marcel's (Charles Michael Davis) plans of revenge against the Original family.

Campbell's return is still uncertain, but the 21-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that, "Davina has won the hearts of quite a few of the characters, so they're going to do their best to bring her back."

"The Originals" season 4 will return to The CW midseason of 2017, and fans would know by then whether any of those speculations are true.
