'The Real Housewives of New York' updates, rumors: Luann de Lesseps marries Tom D'Agostino Jr.; Bravo banned from filming reality star's wedding?
"The Real Housewives of New York" star Luann de Lesseps finally tied the knot with Tom D'Agostino in a grandiose Florida wedding ceremony held last New Year's Eve.
According to reports, the Big Apple mom planned the wedding day out so that aside from celebrating their union, it will also coincide with New Year's Eve and her new husband's 50th birthday. Luann's daughter, Victoria de Lesseps, was the flower girl, while her son, Noel de Lesseps, walked down the aisle as ring bearer. 250 guests witnessed the couple tie the know at the Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. The bride wore a gown made by New York City-based designer Randi Rahm.
This is already de Lesseps' second marriage, as she was previously married to entrepreneur Count Alexandre de Lesseps from 1993 up until 2009. They have two children together.
Dorinda Medley and Jill Zarin were the only "Housewives" present in the event because their other co-stars are currently out of the country. Bethenny Frankel is in Mexico, Sonja Morgan appears to be in Thailand, while Ramona Singer is having a vacation with her daughter Avery in London.
Meanwhile, Bravo was reportedly banned from the reality star's wedding after she sold the exclusive rights to People for roughly $20,000. Page Six's source claims that Bravo executives are furious after de Lesseps declined to have the network exclusively cover her wedding, only to figure out that she sold the rights to another media outlet.
"Talk about biting the hand that feeds you," the insider added. "The wedding is the biggest storyline of the year for the show, and Bravo is furious. She has said she will provide footage to the show from her private videographer, once her contract with People has expired," the insider went on to say.
Bravo has yet to announce a premiere date for "The Real Housewives of New York" season 9.
