'The Sims 4' release date news: 'City Living' DLC adds apartments and penthouses, allows players to attend Geekcon & Romance Festival
"The Sims 4" is finally bringing players to the city with the upcoming "City Living" downloadable content (DLC), which has been rumored for a while.
The expansion pack is bringing players to a colorful new location called San Myshuno, where there will be new places to see and new people to meet.
"The Sims 4: City Living" DLC will introduce apartments and penthouses. Getting either one is crucial as this will allow Sims to stay in San Myshuno.
Players can choose between different types of apartments, which they can design to reflect their personalities. These places will allow the Sims to be more creative and offer greater opportunity to express themselves through their space.
"The Sims 4" DLC also allows players to stay in penthouses at top floors. It will take some hard work, of course. "City Living" is adding three new careers that will help players earn the riches to afford a luxurious life in San Myshuno.
The three careers are Politician, Critic, and Social Media. Players will have to work their way up to afford the penthouses, which Electronic Arts (EA) says provides "a totally different experience" from apartments.
In what way, EA won't be revealing that bit of information anytime soon as "The Sims 4: City Living" won't be released until November so there's more than a month of waiting ahead of players.
Despite this, EA teased five festivals Sims can attend in San Myshuno. One is a Romance Festival and another is a Geekcon, both of which are clear on what they will be about.
As revealed in the past, there will be Asian food available such as sushi. This is also evidenced in the above screenshot from "The Sims 4" DLC.
There's still a lot to learn about San Myshuno and "City Living," but EA promises they will provide more information "in the near future."
