'The Sims 4' latest news & updates: New leaks point to 'City Life' DLC with new penthouses, band system
New details about the purported "City Life" expansion pack "The Sims 4" have come to light, suggesting that the downloadable content (DLC) will indeed be city-themed and revealing some items.
The SimScraper shared a screenshot of a message via e-mail containing information about the DLC a Sim Guru they chose not to name.
According to the e-mail, the next "The Sims 4" DLC will include apartments, a new trait for the Sims and Asian food such as sushi. It was also revealed that a new band system is being stitched together for the game.
It is based on the "Get Together" DLC. However, the source says that if it is not completed in time, it won't be included in the "City Life" pack, and will be released in a Game Pack or an Expansion Pack.
The Grim's Ghoulish Guitar, added as free content last month, was revealed to be one of the items to be in the band system. This was the case because the artist put together a "much, much more exciting thing" for the next "The Sims 4" DLC.
The SimScraper also shared screenshots purportedly from the "City Life" DLC including a kiosk that sells Asian food with chopsticks even included.
There was also an image of a penthouse, which will be a new lot type. Promotional images for the rumored "The Sims 4" DLC were also leaked.
No details are available to corroborate these leaks and reports. Maxis and Electronic Arts have not made the so-called "City Life" DLC official, but it is believed to be the next one it will release for the game.
For one, its concept is something that the studios have done in previous games before. However, until there's no official word, all this will have to be treated as rumors for now.
