'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 episode 15 spoilers: Stefan and Caroline gets married; Paul Wesley admits getting emotional while filming the finale

A "Steroline" wedding finally happens on the upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

Titled "We're Planning a June Wedding," next week's episode will see two of the show's beloved characters tie the knot. According to the official synopsis, the Mystic Falls gang quickly plans a wedding to help Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) lure an enemy out into the open. The Salvatore brothers must destroy this looming threat to save everyone in Mystic Falls.

The CW has yet to release a teaser for the episode, but new images have been unveiled. One of the photos shows that Stefan and Caroline's wedding ceremony is graced by none other than Matt (Zach Roerig) and Vicki's (Kayla Ewell) mom, Kelly Donovan (Melinda Clarke).

Introduced in season 1, Kelly was shown to be an irresponsible mother to her two kids. Matt didn't want anything to do with her anymore, so he suggested that she leave the town for good. She reluctantly listened to her son's request, and in season 6, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) revealed that she's now living her own life in South Carolina.

The show only has two episodes left before the finale and in a recent interview, Wesley admitted that got emotional when he was reading the script for the finale. He also shared that he teared up when he filmed his last scene with Nina Dobrev's returning character, Elena.

"It's this very interesting melancholy," the actor told Entertainment Weekly. "I did Stefan's final scene with Elena. It was strangely emotional for me. You're saying goodbye to this time and this moment. The two of us are never going to be playing these characters ever again, and these were really important characters in television for eight years. That's emotional," he added.

The eighth and final season of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 airs on Friday nights at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
