'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 return date, news, spoilers: Stefan and Damon search for their next victim; Dobrev not returning for season finale?
Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will search for their next prey in an anger management class. Meanwhile, there is still no confirmation whether Nina Dobrev will return for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 finale.
In the upcoming eighth episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, titled "We Have History Together," the Salvatore brothers will go to an anger management class to find their next target.
The synopsis posted on The Futon Critic reads: "Stefan and Damon attend an anger management support group looking for their next victim. Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) is still alive and teaching a group of high school students who she'll later use as leverage to get Caroline (Candice King) to locate a historical artifact that can be used against her. Meanwhile, Stefan and Damon continue their commitment to Cade (Wole Parks) as they test the morals of a young doctor, Tara (Alexandra Chando).
While the Salvatore brothers are busy working for Cade, Caroline will have to prepare for Sybil's comeback. Caroline and the rest might be blindsided by Sybil's return, especially because no one knows that she is still alive.
Meanwhile, fans are still expecting Dobrev to appear in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 finale, but there has still been no confirmation that the actress will return.
Deadline reported that CW president Mark Pedowitz shared at the Television Critics Association that he remains positive that Dobrev, Somerhalder, and Wesley will have one more run as the original trio of "The Vampire Diaries."
But when he was asked for details about Dobrev's appearance, Pedowitz refused to share more information. This caused speculations that Dobrev might not be returning for the season 8 finale, which might cause disappointment to its fans who have been expecting her return to the series.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 returns on Friday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
