'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Cast and Plot News Update: Morales of Season 1 to Return?
Rumors have been flying around that Morales (Juan Gabriel Pareja) from Season 1 of "The Walking Dead" is due to make a comeback in the very near future. If true, this would add one more character again to the already characters-bursting-at-the-seams zombie survivalist TV show which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
Morales was one of the characters introduced in the first season. Before season 1 ended, Morales and his family were shown parting ways with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his small group, as the latter wanted to make their way to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta.
Meanwhile, Morales and family decided that it would be better for them to go to Alabama, to look up their relatives who lived there, hoping that they had survived the zombocalypse, as well.
From that time, there has been no mention about Morales, much less any news about what could have possibly have happened to him, his wife, and their kids. In the meantime, Rick, his family, his best friend Shane (Jon Bernthal) and the random people they had bonded with, moved through different story arcs, killing off some lead characters in the process, and effectively turning Morales and family into just another set of forgotten random characters.
However, of late, several tweets from Juan Gabriel Pareja, the actor who played Morales, have caught the interest of fans. In one, he had tweeted "Excited to see the #WalkingDead family again & all the fans @WalkerStalkerCon this weekend! #MoralesLIVES" along with a photo of him in typical Walking Dead pose with the caption "Not Dead."
All of that may just be tied up to the event publicized, or it could be a portent of things to come. After all, the also long forgotten Morgan Jones (Lennie James) suddenly showed up again in Season 5. With that, Morales and family may not be far behind.
