'The Walking Dead' season 7 episode 5 spoilers: Maggie, Sasha go to the Hilltop; Carl, Enid to leave Alexandria?
The next episode of "The Walking Dead" takes most of the show's narrative to the Hilltop Colony, where the two grieving women, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), have taken refuge after the devastating death of their significant others.
Titled "Go Getters," the episode will reportedly show the two women's different ways of handling grief. But tension soon rises when the community begins questioning their failure to fulfill their previous promise to take care of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Saviors. The community leader, Gregory (Xander Berkeley), is particularly upset about how Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his crew's failed attempt to stop Negan has only put the Hilltop at risk.
Will Gregory consider handing Maggie and Sasha over to the Saviors in order to keep peace with Negan? Or will their ally Jesus (Tom Payne) step in and help the women from Alexandria take the submissive Gregory down?
The episode preview also teases some scenes with Carl (Chandler Riggs) and Enid (Katelyn Nacon) both inside and outside the walls of Alexandria, which will eventually culminate in the two of them finding something unexpected. What could this be and how will finding it play into the overall narrative of the season? Will she make it safely to the Hilltop with Carl to see Maggie, who has become like family to her?
Independent also teased that Maggie may spend the entire duration of her pregnancy at the Hilltop, during which she could also think of ways to get back at Negan for her husband Glenn's (Steven yeun) death. She doesn't seem to be alone in this as even Sasha, Carl and Rosita (Christian Serratos) have all expressed their intention of taking revenge on Negan.
Meanwhile, the post-apocalyptic world is about get even bigger as the synopsis for episode 6 teases that someone is about to stumble upon a brand new society that is not like anything that has ever been seen before. What kind of society could this be? And will they be an ally or a foe to Rick's crew?
