Many of the cast members of AMC's "The Walking Dead" have teased the highly anticipated season 7 premiere in one way or another, and now Melissa McBride, who plays Carol in the series, has added her voice to the chorus.

McBride's Carol, one of the zombie apocalypse drama's remaining original characters, is a different case, however, as Carol wasn't among the lineup of Alexandrians from which Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) was picking his victim in the season 6 finale.

Rather, Carol and Morgan, played by Lennie James, were separated from the rest of Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group. The two had ended up encountering a couple of strangers who will bring them to The Kingdom, a community led by Ezekiel (Khary Payton), a former zookeeper with a pet tiger named Shiva.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, McBride spoke about the upcoming season 7 premiere, saying that nothing will prepare fans for what's about to come. The actress also reassured viewers that while many of them were frustrated and angered by the cliffhanger ending of the sixth season. She continued, saying that the season 7 opener will be worth the wait.

"[I]t's going to rock the walls," she said. "The wait is worth it. Whether you're angry with it or whether you liked the cliffhanger or whether you're pissed off about it, the wait is worth it."

Meanwhile, James, whose Morgan is one of the few "safe" characters in "The Walking Dead" season 7 premiere, recently talked about the odds of his character making it to the end of the AMC series. As avid fans know, Morgan was one of the first characters to appear in "The Walking Dead." But it wasn't until season 6 that Morgan became one of the main characters again.

According to James, while Morgan has made it this far, he isn't betting on the character making it out alive.

"This is not a show in which anybody can guarantee that they're going to make it to the end of the series, so I would probably take very high odds that Morgan doesn't make it to the end of the series," the actor told Moviefone. "The only thing that's guaranteed in the world of 'The Walking Dead' is that everybody dies."

"The Walking Dead" season 7 is scheduled to debut on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
