Given that "The Walking Dead" fans are expecting a truly ghastly death in the season 7 premiere, something no less than the fatal head-bashing Glenn (Steven Yeun) got from Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the comics, a recent statement by "TWD" star Norman Reedus has fired up another speculation frenzy.

In a recent appearance on Conan O'Brien's "Conan," the "TWD" actor confirmed that the people behind AMC's popular zombie apocalypse series are working very hard to not spoil the events in the season 7 premiere, including the hotly anticipated reveal of the so-called Lucille Victim.

In the much-hyped season 6 finale of "The Walking Dead," the screen cut to black just as Negan, the show's new main villain, had chosen which among Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) crew will be killed as payback for the group's attacks against the Saviors. The finale, which ended with the sound of Negan's barbed-wire-covered baseball bat Lucille repeatedly hitting the flesh of its victim mixed with the screams of the victim's friends, angered and frustrated many.

On "Conan," Reedus gave fans a warning, saying: "[I]t's like one of those things you ask for it you're going to get it. And, you know, it might be rougher than you were expecting."

"It's hard core," he added.

What could be rougher than Negan beating someone's head in with a vicious-looking weapon? Fans will have to wait until the season 7 premiere airs to find out.

Meanwhile, "TWD" actor Josh McDermitt recently commented on the lengths AMC have gone to to prevent people from releasing season 7 spoilers. According to the actor, while he understands that fans are eager to find out what happens next on "The Walking Dead," they should also respect the fact that people are working hard on the show.

"What if I went to your job and I was like 'Hey, uh let me take this project that you're working on and just, it's not even finished and just go tell everybody,'" he told TMZ. "Let me give it to your boss. You wouldn't want that."

"The Walking Dead" season 7 debuts in October.
