'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers: Did Negan kill Glenn? 'Firsthand' source of updates says otherwise
Updates on filming of "The Walking Dead" season 7 have kept surfacing online, keeping fans on their toes as they wait for the series' return in October.
Avid followers of the post-apocalyptic horror drama also have something to hang onto with these news and spoilers especially after being left with a rather bleak and dark season 6 finale cliffhanger. Who was beaten to death by the monstrous Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will be made known in the upcoming seventh season.
The final scene showed Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos) on their knees in front of the ruthless leader of the Saviors.
The unfortunate recipient of blows of Negan's baseball bat remains a mystery, although many fans believe that it was Glenn, should the series base the sequence of deaths on its origin comic book.
However, a recent leak by "The Walking Dead" fan club named "The Spoiling Dead Fan" tells a different story. The fan club quoted on its Facebook page a source, although unverified, that Yeun was just spotted filming with the rest of the cast members at Gin Property in Senoia, Georgia. Hence, there comes the conclusion that Glenn might not have been the one on the receiving end of Negan's merciless attack.
This fan group consolidates eyewitness reports and amateur photos captured firsthand by other fans who happen to be within the vicinity of the respective filming location. The purpose of the fan club is to be able to consistently deliver updates about the thriller for the rest who can only rely on the net for news and spoilers.
Aside from keeping busy with updates, fans have also expressed strong emotions toward the cliffhanger. In this regard, executive producer Robert Kirkman said in an interview that cliffhangers are intended to draw reaction. Thus, "The Walking Dead" season 6 finale cliffhanger did its job of obtaining these reactions based on the fuss it brought about within the show's fan base.
