At the New York Comic Convention (NYCC), which was held from Oct. 6 to Oct. 9, fans were treated with a trailer for the premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7. Though fans didn't find out who Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) victim was, the four-minute clip showed glimpses of the characters who survived and the characters who might have been the victim.

Based on the trailer revealed at NYCC, the International Business Times speculated that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) survived the attack. Perhaps, fans could never believe that the main character would be killed off; nevertheless, someone dear to him could have easily been the target.

The news outlet also reported that Rick genuinely had fear in his eyes, but he wasn't devastated about the turn of events. Hence, the outlet suggested that Rick's son, Carl, (Chandler Riggs) could have survived the attack.

As previously reported, Daryl (Norman Reedus) was rumored to be Negan's victim. When AMC released a 50-second clip which featured Dwight (Austin Amelio) with Daryl's bike and crossbow, fans immediately feared for Daryl's life.

The recent trailer showed a particular scene which bolstered the previous speculation. Towards the end of the video, a white blanket was featured next to what seemed like a pool of blood and the body of Negan's victim.

Since Daryl was seen last season with a white blanket on his shoulder, many are convinced that the crossbow-wielding character was bludgeoned to death by leader of the Saviors.

For those who missed the panel at NYCC 2016, fans can catch the latest "The Walking Dead" trailer on the official Twitter page of the show.

Fans can find out who Negan killed on the premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7 which will launch Sunday, Oct.23, at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC .
