'The Walking Dead' Spoilers, Plot News: Tension Between Rick and Pete Starts to Boil in Episode 15
The upcoming episode of "The Walking Dead" this Sunday on AMC won't feature any deaths after the horrific deaths of last week.
With the finale for the fifth season fast approaching, the focus of episode 15 titled "Try" is going to shift to the showdown between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Pete (Corey Brill). It will also dwell on the happenings in the Safe Zone once Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) learns that her son Aiden (Daniel Bonjour) was killed in a zombie attack during a supply run at a warehouse.
Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, disclosed in a recent interview that there would be a couple more deaths in the finale, and that his character would be placed in danger during his recruiting run.
According to spoilers, Deanna will burn a note that the others sent expressing their sympathy. But it will not be made clear if she does this after considering the warning made by Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) not to trust Rick and his gang. There will also be no mention of Gabriel in this episode. Instead, the focus will be on the fight between Pete and Rick.
Rick will first find out for himself that Pete is physically abusing his wife and son and that there will be a series of confrontations between them. In one, they will start fighting and other members of the safe zone will have to pull them apart. This will lead to Rick saying that Pete needs to die or be thrown out of the safe zone. Deanna will not agree to this, telling Rick that she will be the one to decide who leaves. Michonne will knock Rick out when he gets a little "insane."
The simmering tension between Rick and Pete is set to boil over in the finale. Inquisitr said Pete might attack Rick during a funeral and that it will result in the death of Deanna's husband.
Rick will then have to shoot Pete dead. The gunshot will attract a group called the "Scavengers" who will then attack the safe zone. The first signs of the group will surface in the upcoming episode when Daryl finds that some of the walkers have been mutilated by the group.
