'This Is Us' casting news reveals 'Law & Order: SVU' alum Hari Dhillon tapped for recurring role
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" alum Hari Dhillon is tapped to portray the role of Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) workplace rival named Sanjay when "This Is Us" returns next year.
While details about the extent of involvement that Sanjay has in Randall's life remains under wraps, it can be expected to see them compete with each other at work.
Aside from appearing in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," Dhillon was also seen in other popular TV series such as "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" and "Midsomer Murders" in 2016, "The Mentalist" and "Casualty" in 2014, as well as the British crime drama "Holby City" as the character named Michael Spence in 2007.
Meanwhile, actress Susan Kelechi Watson revealed that something big will be revealed about her character Beth Pearson after the series returns next year.
In her interview with Us Weekly, the actress revealed that fans should look forward to several revelations that will involve Beth, Randall's wife. "I think we don't get to know her all at once, but it's the slow peeling away of the layers and little by little more about her history, her background, her family, her career will start to come out and that's happening," Watson stated.
The actress also mentioned that she was glad that fans of the series believe that Beth is a strong woman, yet she thinks that she was just trying to make it appear like everything is okay. "There is so much going on and she's trying to roll with the punches and make sure everyone is OK at the same time," Watson also said. "Maybe she's putting a lot of people before herself at the moment, which a lot of us do, you put your loved ones first in those situations," she continued.
However, the actress decided to avoid giving more hints about the plot of the upcoming episodes of "This Is Us" that will begin on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, on NBC.
