A lot of things will change in Asgard as Marvel shifts gear to the third installment of "Thor." The upcoming sequel is expected to touch the iconic great war in Asgard known as "Ragnarok," and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) must find a way to stop the war before it consumes the whole kingdom and its neighboring worlds in the Nine Realms. The journey for the God of Thunder may not be that easy, especially if the rumor about Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, turns our to be correct.

The rumors are rife that the Mjolnir will be taken away from Thor once again in "Thor: Ragnarok," and it will be a great challenge for the hero to protect Asgard with the absence of his powerful weapon.  This rumor began when Hemsworth posted a photo of the Mjolnir on Instagram and said that the fans can expect "big and little changes" in "Thor: Ragnarok." Geek noted that the actor was already teasing the big changes that will happen in the third "Thor" feature film, and one of those major changes will be about the Mjolnir. It is possible that like what happened in the first movie, Thor will banish once again from Asgard and the powerful hammer will be taken away from him.

Moreover, Yibada reveals a possible plot twist where Thor will be transported to an unknown planet with his Avenger teammate Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), also known as the Hulk. At one point, Thor will have to fight against the Hulk in a gladiator arena. In spite of being banished and losing Mjolnir, Thor must continue his mission to prevent Ragnarok from ever happening. Along the way, Thor is expected to find a new Mjolnir hammer that could be more powerful and more significant than the first Mjolnir, as this ancient weapon has the power to stop the cycle of Ragnarok in Asgard.

Parent Herald reported that the new villain of "Thor," Hela (Cate Blanchett), will be the one to banish Thor from Asgard and destroy the Mjolnir. With no one and nothing to stop her, the villainess will team up with Thor's adoptive brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to bring Ragnarok upon the kingdom.
