'Titanfall 2' release date, update: Single-player campaign to focus on Jack and his Titan

Just a few more days left until the first-person shooter video game "Titanfall 2" will hit store shelves. Respawn Entertainment is now all set to show off to its fans what they have prepared for them especially the single-player campaign which is reportedly better than ever.

According to reports, the single-player campaign of "Titanfall 2" will revolve more on the relationship between the protagonist Jack and his mechanical Titan. To bring the hype up even more among the fans, Respawn released a trailer that features the campaign's gameplay, storyline and even some of the action and explosion that gamers will surely be thrilled with.

Aside from the trailer, a video diary has also been released showing the vision for the single-player campaign. The video also featured game director Steve Fukuda saying that when it comes to their single-player mode, gamers can expect "sheer variety."

Designer Mackey McCandlish also said, "You can get different Titan loadouts and experience the different flavors of Titans in the multiplayer, in the single-player."

Reports said that fans can expect some light puzzle solving in the game as well. Moreover, the campaign will also allow gamers to explore more of the game's universe as the pilot and the mechanical Titan tread the space, displaying more of their unique bond.

In other news, more games could be coming after "Titanfall 2" lands. CEO Vince Zampella revealed to IGN that they have plans of expanding the universe further although nothing is really certain for now.. But he said there is a lot that they can do and they still have lots of ideas that they can use. They may also work on other spin-offs just like the upcoming mobile game "Frontline."

As for PS gamers who are waiting for the original "Titanfall" to hit the Sony console, they will have to better luck next time as Respawn has no plans of bringing it to the PS4 soon. The game was published by Microsoft and is exclusively available only for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

"Titanfall 2"  will be released on Oct. 28 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
