News on the release date for the hit anime series "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 has been much sought after by its fans and followers. A final release date has been particularly elusive at this point that many have wondered whether the reports surrounding the next season were just untrue or worst, a hoax. Production of a live action version, however, has been reported, and the signs have pointed to this as the possible reason for the delays in the release of the anime's next run.

The most recent report on season 3 of "Tokyo Ghoul" reveals a first quarter of 2017 premiere, but many have become skeptical as to whether this would really push through. It is noted though that some information on the possible storyline and of a new protagonist as well as a climactic battle has surfaced and could herald an upcoming third season.

The story of Touka Kirishima is said to be the focus in the upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3, after the character's only a few appearances last season. Not much is known of the character's storyline in the next installment, but Kirishima is said to be embarking on a college education.

The character will experience some stress in the selection of an appropriate college and will have a hard time deciding whether to go to Kamii University where Kaneki Ken is also a student, To-Oh University, or Duke University. There are some questions being brought up about Kirishima's ability to pass the college exams, but eventually the character will be accepted as a student in To-Oh University.

There will also be a new protagonist, Haise Sasaki, in the upcoming season. Sasaki is said to be an avatar of Kaneki Ken and is the ghoul investigator persona of the latter.

Also worthy to note is the reported battle that is to take place between Kaneki Ken and his mentor, Arima. This exciting tidbit will happen, purportedly, at the height of next season's run.
