Tom Clancy's 'The Division: Last Stand' DLC news, updates: Two teams of eight fight for control points

"Last Stand" is the third expansion pack of Tom Clancy's "The Division," and it features a game mode of having two groups made up of eight players fight to rule over control points. The new DLC also offers a new progression system.

PC Games N reports that Ubisoft has revealed Tom Clancy's "The Division: Last Stand's " features, and it involves having two teams of eight fighting over control points.

The teams will be placed in "The Division" Dark Zone, wherein there are no consequences for the players' competitive battles, and each player has a separate progression system with exclusive gear.

There will be two groups, each made up of two squads with four players in a squad. The main goal in "Last Stand" is to upload data at terminals surrounding the Dark Zone. AI will be constantly moving around the Dark Zone and will continuously defend it, making it difficult for players to achieve the goal.

Players of "Last Stand" can also take advantage of AI by farming them to attain SHD tech, which can help them unlock tactical boosts and build reinforcements. Players can protect their bases from enemy invasion by placing turrets and by changing locations from time to time during the entire gameplay.

The "Last Stand" DLC comes with a matchmaking system where players are grouped together based on their progression system and skill set.

Meanwhile, Tom Clancy's "The Division: Last Stand" offers a new progression system that is said to be similar to Underground.

Gamers who engage in "Last Stand" will gain special experience points and rankings up to a maximum of 40 levels. But even if the gamer has already reached 40, "Last Stand" experience will still be awarded, and caches will keep on coming. Each of these ranks will reward the gamer with a sealed cache of items.

There are also certain milestones where the gamer will unlock an exclusive vanity item that cannot be attained elsewhere in the game.
