Tom Clancy's 'The Division' news: Update 1.4 set for release next week; servers go offline for maintenance
Good news for all fans of Tom Clancy's "The Division." The online open world third-person shooter game is getting a new update and it's set to launch next week. Dubbed patch 1.4, the update is expected to be a massive one.
According to reports, it will be bringing along with it several bug fixes for glitches which often recur in the game. These issues are also the reason why many gamers have decided to stop playing. Ubisoft will be addressing those problems in the new patch so fans can expect a lot of improvements.
The patch notes also revealed that it will be making some gameplay changes such as lowering of the time-to-kill enemy non-player characters (NPCs), increase in the player ammo capacity by 50 percent after level 30 and many more.
Gamers can also expect the Incendiary and Explosive rounds to no longer apply status effects like Stagger and On Fire. Moreover, weapon magazines will now be refilled when trying to restock from an ammo crate. Several enhancements have also been made to enemy AI as well as the NPC AI. When not in combat mode, player health will now progressively regenerate to full. Scavenging has also been removed as a secondary stat on all gear pieces.
Patch 1.4 will also introduce a new feature which is the World Tiers. In this mode, players can select a world Level Tier whenever they reach level 30. Their selection will allow them to control the level of enemy NPCs they come across and the quality of the loot that they release. There will be four World Level tiers and each of them vary in gear score rewards from enemy level 30 to level 33.
In preparation for the release of the big update, reports said that servers will be offline for a three-hour maintenance window. "The Division" patch 1.4 will be available on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
