'Total War: Warhammer DLC' release date: 'The King And The Warlord' bulks up Greenskins and Dwarves, offers free items
Exciting things are coming to "Total War Warhammer" fans via the long-awaited "The King and the Warlord" downloadable content (DLC).
The Greenskins and Dwarves are getting some love in this expansion as they finally take their turn in getting brand new lords and units.
The former faction will get a dozen new units from the "Total War Warhammer: The King and the Warlord" while the Dwarf faction is getting 10. That is 22 all-new elite Regiments of Renown for the game.
Creative Assembly will release alongside the "Total War Warhammer: The King and the Warlord" DLC with some free items in the form of a free Greenskins Legendary Lord and new Chaos Warriors units.
As expected, the "Total War Warhammer" DLC will come with two legendary lords—Belegar Ironhammer and Skarsnik, who fight to determine the true ruler of Karak Eight Peaks.
The former is the clan leader and the direct descendant of King Lunn, who is known to be the last Dwarf to lead the tribe. The description for him is as follows.
"Even now he marshals his throng, making ready to strike out from Karak Izor. With the spirits of his fabled ancestors returned to fight by his side, Belegar will see his oaths fulfilled, and pass into legend himself.
The latter is the self-proclaimed Night-Goblin warlord of Karak Eight Peaks. His story as per the "Total War Warhammer: The King and the Warlord" DLC description reads:
On a squig-hunting excursion in the Grey Mountains east of Brettonia, he operates from his base at Karak Azgaraz when word reaches him of Belegar's intent. Worse still, the tricksy Goblins minding Karak Eight Peaks have taken the hold in defiance of Skarsnik's iron will. Intolerable, sneaky, mutinous gits!
"Total War Warhammer: The King and the Warlord" will be released on Thursday, Oct. 20. It is priced for $7.99.
