The upcoming film "Transformers: The Last Knight" is set to feature a cute new character called Squeeks.

Director Michael Bay, who also helmed the first four films in the popular "Transformers" franchise, gave fans a glimpse of the new non-human character in a Twitter post on Wednesday, June 22. In the image posted by Bay, the director is kneeling beside the new Autobot and new "Transformers" cast member Isabela Moner.

"My talented young co-star of Transformers, @isabelamoner and introducing a new character, Squeeks!" he captioned the photo.

Squeeks appears to be a new non-CG Transformer made out of a rusty old Vespa. The turquoise-colored Autobot is an original creation for "The Last Knight."

This is also the first time fans have seen Moner as her "The Last Knight" character Izabella. The film marks Moner's debut in the "Transformers" franchise.

Meanwhile, "Guardians of the Galaxy" actress Laura Haddock recently announced that she has joined the cast of "Transformers: The Last Knight." She confirmed her casting via Twitter earlier this month in a cheeky video message to fans.

"I'm very proud to announce that I'm going to be in the new Transformers movie," the actress said. "And acting opposite one of my all-time heroes. Massive in the 80s, living legend, some people describe him as having balls of steel, I can't believe I get to be part of his entourage: Optimus Prime."

"Oh, and there's this other guy that's a pretty big deal, Mark Wahlberg," she teased.

Haddock is best known for her role as Lucrezia Donati in the fantasy drama series "Da Vinci's Demons." She also had a small role in "Captain America: The First Avenger" (2011).

"Transformers: The Last Knight" also stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, and Anthony Hopkins.

The film is currently in production and is scheduled to hit theaters June 23, 2017.
