Fans of "Two Worlds" series are certainly excited after hearing the news about the development of the upcoming second sequel of the franchise. "Two Worlds 3" has officially been announced by TopWare Interactive. The company also added that the current installment, "Two Worlds II," will be getting a new DLC update anytime soon.
The announcement was made through the company's official Facebook page on March 25. Fans have been expecting a third installment for quite some time now. Although the announcement was not planned out by the company, fans and critics were not surprised as the first two titles of the franchise have been pretty successful. The series has currently sold more than 10 million units, and with the addition of the new title, it will only solidify the franchise's successful run.
Nevertheless, TopWare Interactive cited that the new game is still in its early stage. The statement certainly ruled out a possible 2016 release. The company added that the new title is expected to have a development period of up to 36 months. They also point out that fans of the series can expect more news about the upcoming game in the near future.
For the meantime, fans can enjoy the current "Two Worlds II," which is expected to get a new expansion. According to the company the DLC will include eight multiplayer maps, along with two single-player updates. The DLC will be titled as "Call of the Tenebrae and Shattered Embrace."
The DLC update is set to roll out before the second quarter of 2016 ends. According to the post, the story of the expansion "focuses on the Hero's return to Antaloor, where he witnesses the shocking murder of DarPha."
Fans are hoping that the story line will be an exciting addition to the game. The company promises that players will have a chance to experience a different Antaloor once the expansion becomes available.
