'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' DLC release date news 2016: Multiplayer feature to arrive before the month ends
Fans of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" definitely has something to get excited about following the announcement from game developer Naughty Dog that the fourth installment to the action-adventure third-person shooter video game is going to have its first ever multiplayer expansion next week. According to reports, Naughty Dog will release the DLC pack on June 29, which is less than a month before the company reveals the technology behind the success of "Uncharted 4" at Siggraph 2016.
According to Naughty Dog's blog post, the company said that the new update will include a new map and the highly anticipated multiplayer mode of the game that fans have been requesting since the title came out in May. Other features that are expected to be included in the upcoming expansion are taunts, boosters, new skins, guns and the like.
"We're all excited about this release because not only does it include a lot of great content – like our first free map (!!!) – but it includes updates to Multiplayer that many of you have been asking for" the company stated in their blog post. "We're just scratching the surface by saying it includes new guns, new boosters, new taunts, new skins, custom matches, custom loadout names, a revamp to Ranked Team Deathmatch, and more! There's one in particular we won't reveal here, but you can probably guess what it is if you've been tracking what is likely the most requested new feature by our community."
Meanwhile, the company also plans to showcase the new DLC pack a day before its release on a Twitch broadcast. The live stream will start at 2:30 p.m. EST or 11:30 a.m. PST. Another live stream will happen a day after the release to provide an in-depth discussion regarding the new multiplayer feature.
