'Vikings season 4' midseason premiere news, updates: Will Ragnar end his life?
Fans don't have to wait that long for the second half of "Vikings" season 4 because the historical drama TV series will be airing in a few days. But fans aren't too excited for the forthcoming episodes since History Channel teased the possibility of Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) death.
Last week, the network launched a trailer titled "Will Ragnar Lothbrok die?" In the brief preview for the upcoming episodes, Ragnar can be seen on horseback, pensively riding towards a tree. The rest of the scenes didn't show Ragnar, but it easily could have been him. The following scenes were of an individual who tied a rope on a tree. This person let go of the reins on the horse before the scene shifted to an image of what appeared to be an individual hanging from a tree.
Since there were no other characters featured in the clip, fans are convinced that Ragnar would be killing himself this season. Though his death doesn't come as a surprise, the way that he is killed off is shocking for a lot of fans. Fans still hope that the trailer was simply from a vision or a dream.
Perhaps this could be true. In an interview with Showbiz Junnkies, actress Katheryn Winnick, who portrays Ragnar's first wife Lagertha, told the news outlet that her character will be meeting The Seer. The actress stressed the significance of the scene for her character. Winnick teased that The Seer will be providing Lagertha with devastating news.
The death of Ragnar wasn't confirmed by Winnick. She didn't reveal more details about her big scene with The Seer.
Fans should watch how events transpire in the second half of "Vikings" season 4 when it premieres on History Channel on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 9 p.m. EST. The season opens with the episode titled "The Outsider."
