'Vikings' season 4 part 2 air date, spoilers & update: Ivar transitionining into Ivar the Boneless
Fans have to wait a few more weeks for the second half of History channel's "Vikings" season 4. When part two of the historical drama series returns, it will feature the transformation of the son of Ragnar Lothbrook (Travis Fimmel), Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Anderson).
Ragnar's favorite son will reportedly be taking the reins. Ivar, who has been honed to lead Kategatt and its people someday, will draw even closer to the throne. When Ragnar returns to their settlement, he will urge his son to assume the role of the king. Of course, his father will be with him every step of the way. But before he formally takes over, Ragnar will prepare his son for it. In the forthcoming episode, Ragnar might win the trust and affection of Ivar, who has never been too fond of his father.
Reports say that it is when Ragnar returns to Kategatt, after defeating Rollo (Clive Standen), that Ivar will slowly transition into the title which he is best known for, Ivar the Boneless. To note, the future ruler is the son of Ragnar and Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland).
Ragnar has spent years away from Kategatt. Hence, when he finally returns, he will appear much older. Aside from the king, his son will also mature in "Vikings" season 4 part 2.
Once the season returns, battles will be underwayaAnd more characters will be fighting for the throne. Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), Ragnar's former wife, will fight Queen Aslaug for the throne once the show premieres.
"Vikings" has recently been renewed for another season. Although there are no official details about the succeeding season, rumors suggest that Lagertha will be killed in battle this season, due to a stab in the chest.
Viewers can catch "Vikings" season 4 part 2 when it airs on Nov. 30 at 9:00 p.m. EST on the History channel.
