The next season of "Vixen" will reportedly have other superheroes making cameos in the show. The second season will reportedly have Vixen meeting up with the likes of The Atom and Firestorm.

The show is set in the same universe as "Arrow," "The Flash," and "Legends of Tomorrow," and it follows the titular Vixen/Marie McCabe, a woman who has the power to mimic the skills of every animal that has existed on Earth.

The series' characters are voiced by their live-action counterparts from the TV shows as well. Stephen Amell voices the Green Arrow and Grant Gustin also lends his voice to the Flash in the show (among others). What's also interesting is that the voice actress for Mari McCabe, Megalyn Echikunwoke, also stars as the Vixen whenever she has any live-action appearances in The CW's DC universe.

With that, fans can expect that Brandon Routh would voice Ray Palmer/The Atom when the character appears on "Vixen." Firestorm would also have Victor Garber voice the fire-powered meta-human (He only does the voice in the live-action series).

"Vixen" episodes run for five minutes apiece, and the first season ran for six episodes. Though the show has quite the short runtime, some fans are happy with the animation and say that it harkens back to the classic days of the DC Animated Universe.

The second season of the show will run for seven episodes this time, and fans can only hope that the developers get permission to run the show longer. Then again, it could be pricey to have actors from the live-action universe lend their voices for every episode. Maybe the show could introduce some heroes that have never appeared live-action before? Vixen did have a relationship with John Stewart/The Green Lantern in the animated "Justice League Unlimited."

The second season of "Vixen" is set to premiere on Aug. 23 on CW Seed.
