'Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Creator Robert Kirkman Says Glenn Will Die

"The Walking Dead" brought with it the death of Tyreese after its midseason break, an event that most fans have not recovered from.

Indeed, the hit post-apocalyptic horror drama TV series has shown no remorse in frequently killing its major characters.

Recently, Robert Kirkman, the writer of the books that inspired "The Walking Dead," leaked a major spoiler, saying that another major character will die before the end of the current fifth season.

Kirkman went as far as identifying the character who will soon meet his end: Glenn (played by Steven Yeun).

He blurted out the spoiler during a live TV interview where he was asked to provide some fake spoilers for the show.

Kirkman even provided details on how Glenn will die. "Eventually a character named Negan is introduced and he's going to bash in Glenn's brains with a baseball bat called Lucille," he said.

His statement caused the live audience present at Chris Hardwick's "@Midnight" show to groan and scream.

His remarks also created a lot of confusion among fans. This is because the TV series has been known for deviating from the comics. For example, in the comics, Tyreese, not Hershel, was the character decapitated by The Governor.

As such, some fans thought that the Negan storyline where Glenn would supposedly die as described by Kirkman – as what happened in the comics – would not happen in the TV series.

The upcoming 10th episode, titled "Them," will show Rick (Andrew Lincoln )and his gang surviving on the road with meager amount of food and water. As a result, they will have to kill feral dogs and force themselves to eat the animals' meat.

A mysterious friend will leave jugs and bottles of water on the road for the gang, which will cause them to become suspicious.

Members of the gang will be introduced to new characters as they enter the Alexandria safe zone. There Rick will develop a romantic relationship with Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge) after he fights with her abusive husband and kills him.
