'Watch Dogs 2' cheats, tips & tricks: Get the aerial drone, use security cameras, stay non-lethal
"Watch Dogs 2" has dropped and is becoming one of the most popular action/adventure video games of the year. While the "Watch Dogs" sequel is not out for all platforms just yet, players have already spent hours in the game's open world and have come up with various cheats, tips and tricks to improve and speed up one's progress.
Among its many "Watch Dogs 2" tips, Kotaku suggests that players go for stealth. While it may be tempting to enter the "Watch Dogs 2" arena with guns blazing, going in stealthily is more effective and makes it much easier to stay alive in the game.
Apart from going on stealth mode, the website also suggests that players should stay non-lethal whenever they can. While there are various deadly options for overcoming enemies, there are also many non-lethal options such as stun guns. This makes the game much more interesting as people who get knocked out can rise back up after a certain period.
Kotaku also notes that players should purchase the game's aerial drone as soon as they can afford it. This allows them to infiltrate the numerous guarded areas in "Watch Dogs 2" without being caught. This works similarly to the remote controlled car but is less detectible and can access more places. Kotaku says that the drone is easily the game's most useful tool.
In addition, the website says that players should stay in cover as much as they can. Because the enemy AI can easily detect those who are running around, players should use the cover-transition system.
Meanwhile, VG 24/7 notes that utilizing the game's security cameras is one of the best ways to get through the game. According to the outlet, players should pause to check for security cameras before going inside any new building or location. They can then hack the closest camera and through the rest to check for guards and other hazards.
"Watch Dogs 2" is now out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game's PC version will be available on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
