'Watch Dogs 2' release date news 2016: Game to be released Nov. 15 worldwide; Boasts bigger storyline, contents than first game
The fans of the first "Watch Dogs" video game are hyped up for the anticipated release of "Watch Dogs 2" this November. Ubisoft is confident that the upcoming game sequel will be bringing back the same elements that made the fans love the first game. However, "Watch Dogs 2" will be boasting a bigger and more interesting storyline along with some changes in the gameplay.
Tech Spot reported that "Watch Dogs 2" will be introducing a new protagonist named Marcus Holloway. The previous "Watch Dogs" hero, Aiden Pearce, has several contrasting traits with Marcus, something that the gamers should watch out for.
Specifically, Marcus Holloway just moved from Oakland to San Francisco. He is a self-taught programmer that will find himself in big trouble when accused of being involved in a crime he is not aware of. Fortunately, his fellow programmers and hackers in the form of DedSec will help him out to clear his name, and that is by putting down the upgraded version of the Central Operating System called ctOs 2.0.
The motivation of the DedSec is quite mysterious, being known as a worldwide organization. However, for "Watch Dogs 2," the group's action is mostly centered on their San Francisco headquarters.
Marcus Holloway is expected to bring a lot of new and fun things which were not present in the first game. Unlike Aiden, Marcus is not a trained fighter but he has his wits to play around people. It will be interesting to watch the character develop into a formidable force as he fights those who are trying to bring him down.
"Watch Dogs 2" is announced to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms worldwide starting on Nov. 15. The sequel may be including some gameplay contents similar to the first game, but it will also introduce a handful of changes. One of those is the cooperative multiplayer mode where the players can interact with others and finish the missions as allies. There will also be an emote system that is going to feature basic gestures and new ways to communicate with fellow players.
