As reported by Slash Film, HBO already confirmed the Season 2 of "Westworld." The only question now is whether the second season of the show will be released a year after the Season 1 finale or it will take a one-year break.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, HBO's programming president Casey Bloys revealed the future plans for "Westworld." It appears that there is no final decision yet regarding the Season 2 premiere date.
"'Westworld' is such a big, ambitious show. I don't know if it will be fall of 2017 or into '18. That will depend as we get up and running. With 'Westworld,' because the production is such a big endeavor, I don't exactly know when," said Bloys.
Slash Film also noted that the first season of "Westworld" took some time before being released on television, making sure that their preparation has paid off. It will not be surprising if HBO will do the same with Season 2, possibly moving the premiere date on 2018.
According to Entertainment Weekly, "Westworld" season 2 will be featuring another ten episodes filled with mystery and suspense. The online publication also picked up the possibility of the series coming back in 2018. This will give way to another much-awaited TV series from HBO, the seventh season of "Game of Thrones." The fans can also expect the storyline expanding and becoming more creative than ever.
Aside from "Westworld," HBO also greenlit the new seasons for "Divorce" and "Insecure."
