HBO's mind-bending fantasy drama is confirmed to be back for a second season, and it has been further confirmed that lead actor Ed Harris, who plays the Man in Black, will still play a part in the upcoming season, which is slated to premiere by 2018.

In a BBC Radio Interview, Harris said, "I was just talking to Jonah Nolan [creator] last night, who's a creator of this thing with his wife Lisa Joy, and yeah, they're doing another season," adding that "they're going to do 10 more episodes, and I will be involved."

Show creator Jonathan Nolan previously revealed that the second season will focus on how the robots in the park (known as hosts) are made.

"Their construction and their power source is something we're really going to get into during Season 2," the creator said.

He also added that the hosts actually don't need oxygen to function. "They're largely indistinguishable from human beings, but their brains don't require oxygen — which opens up interesting possibilities," Nolan added.

The creator also explained the differences between being a human and a host, saying that, "Their brains are not as fragile as ours. On one hand, their cognition is controllable and malleable, but on a structural level they can't be killed in the same way you and I can. There are advantages and disadvantages to being a host. Season 2 we'll be exploring more the nuts and bolts of what they are — as the hosts themselves are trying to understand."

In addition, fans speculate that the mysterious Man in Black might be killed by the end of "Westworld's" first season, but since Harris confirmed that he is still going to be a part of the second season, fans still cling to the current theory, but most are already expecting that the character will be back as a host.

"Westworld" currently airs its first season on HBO, Sundays, 9 p.m. ET.
