'Will & Grace' revival news: Leslie Jordan, Megan Mullally hint at 10-episode series
Fans of the hit comedy show, "Will & Grace," will be delighted to hear that the series may be coming to the TV screen once again. The award-winning series will have a 10-episode revival show, as revealed by actor Leslie Jordan.
Though Peacock Network has yet to confirm what Jordan has revealed, fans already are expecting for the show to come out. The guest actor said that the four main characters, Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes will continue their roles, according to People Magazine.
"It's back. Here's the way it works: (NBC) has ordered 10 (episodes). It'll be for next season, so (the cast will) go in July. And then they'll add the guest cast. I'll get a phone call," Jordan said.
Jordan plays the role of Beverly Leslie, the frenemy of Karen Walker on "Will & Grace."
The actor's revelation coincides with Mullally's Instagram post on New Year's Day. She posted a photo along with the three main casts as they throw their martinis to the screen. The actress did not give any description of the photo except the word "self-explan" and a confetti emoji beside it.
It was back in October when NBC spoke about the show's possible revival, stating that they have been discussing it, EW reported. However, the four main cast have yet to sign a contract.
The hope for "Will & Grace" was sparked further when the four actors expressed their willingness to reprise their respective roles. In an interview with People, McCormack said that they are all "interested to get that call, I think."
Messing also said, "my wish [for a reunion] is that we did 10 [episodes] on, like, Netflix or Amazon or somewhere where it could be the naughty version of 'Will & Grace.'"
"Will & Grace" achieved 83 Emmy nominations and 16 wins. The hit show gave eight seasons of memorable, hilarious scenes before it bid farewell to the fans.
