WWE 2016 news: Tag Team champions The New Day may split soon
Times are certainly challenging for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) ahead of their brand split.
And it is especially problematic for the current WWE Tag Team champions, The New Day.
A trio comprised of Xavier Woods, Big E and Kofi Kingston, the champions are facing stiff competition against The Wyatt Family in a rivalry where many deem the former will eventually lose.
Furthermore, the upcoming brand split may see the three superstars separate if they are picked individually to join either Raw or SmackDown.
The Inquisitr reported that it is a choice that the WWE management are making and it could shake up the tag team champions' future in the industry.
At the moment, many claim that the trio have peaked and are now going to start their decline, leading the way to a possible split to save their individual careers and to compete at a high level.
In the storyline, Xavier Woods is also rumored to be turning heel after his bizarre behavior as a result of their feud against The Wyatt Family.
There are also talks that Big E is set for a push in the industry, with some saying he's using Kingston to put him over as an individual star in the respective show he will represent.
Ring Side News also reported the news of a possible split of the trio, believing that Xavier Woods will be making a heel turn soon.
The only question now is when the trio will split, with talks that WWE Battleground will be the place where The New Day will lose their title, and it will also possibly be the last time the trio will ever compete together.
WWE and their management will surely have three superstars they can work on to achieve individual successes, just like how The Shield member triumphed with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
